AUTUMN’S FEAST
I welcome
first frost, the scents that fall brings.
It’s a
scrumptious feast of colorful scenes.
I burst with
excitement as God’s canvas unfolds,
Brushing the
landscape with scarlets and golds.
The splashes
of orange, amber and red,
The smells
of the forest, leaves overhead.
I delight in
all seasons, taste sunshine and frost,
And savor
each moment, lest the magic is lost.
Pumpkins,
apples, fresh gingerbread,
Make my
mouth water before I am fed.
Cinnamon,
nutmeg, allspice, and mace,
Carry my thoughts
to a wonderful place.
Mulled apple
cider swirling with steam,
Tastes spicey
and sweet with a dollop of cream.
I ravish the
scents, the colors, the awe,
dancing with
leaves as they swirl and fall.
This makes me ready for ALL of FALL! Good job!
